About Me
An Unfiltered Look into my Peculiar Mind.
I aim to thrive not exist. Most actions I decide to take stem from that foundation of thought.
Swipe down to explore my philosophy, work values, personal wins and how my experience of being a founding member of a Startup shaped my work, life and everything in between for the future.
My Philosophy
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
I've had a breakthrough with the realisation that anything in life is achievable based on one's self talk. My progress with work, fitness and other extra-curricular activities is a prime testament that waiting for motivation that might lead to action is a lie. Taking action first is always the first step. When I take action, I move the needle by a hair. Evidence of action motivates me to take more action. This cycle eventually leads me to success. Watch the 2 minute reel below where I practice this philosophy in my fitness.
My Work Values
“If you don't learn the language of business, you may limit your growth and be relegated to the role of an 'order taker'.” - Chris Do
01
Ownership
I don't look at a task as an isolated item but much rather a piece to a larger Jigsaw. Owning the entire jigsaw end-to-end raises the bar for all the tasks and we're all about quality aren't we?
02
Feedback
Almost every time I can't seem to solve a problem, it's because I'm too close to it. That's where I rely on people that I can trust to give me constructive feedback. I strive for progress no matter how small and I only intend to bridge my knowledge gap, because in the end of the day it's about solving it and not about how that makes me feel.
03
Consistency
Showing up when it hurts, when it's a slow day or when zero progress has been made are when it matters the most to me.
04
Speed
Cutting corners while making sure quality doesn't take a heavy dip is the name of the game for me.
05
Following Up
I've been a leader and a follower. Both experiences have taught me one thing, you don't have to follow up with me, I'll do that for you.
My Personal Wins
“Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way you're right.”
Sundar Pichai gifted Droupadi Murmu a book illustrated by me
I had made illustrations including the cover for Google at my time at Dentsu Webchutney. I was really proud to see the book being printed to finally being seen in a picture with Sundar Pichai and Droupadi Murmu a year later.
Being featured in Creative Gaga's India's Best Illustrators 2021
My illustrations were featured in the "India's Best Illustrators" Magazine from Creative Gaga, one of India's most popular illustrative magazines.
Lost 15kgs and built my strength up in less than 6 months
I've had a very rough relationship with my body for the past two decades. In 2025 I finally decided to change that, I hired a personal trainer and got back to training. In 2026, I'm in the best shape of my life physically, mentally and emotionally.
Finished a 5i50 Iron Man Triathlon and a 100k Cyclathon
As someone who was obese, it was an intimidating challenge to attempt considering that only prime athletes did it, or so that was what I had believed. Needless to say all my fears were flushed down the drain after the first 5 mins into these challenges and I finished both in flying colours.
Co-created a comic with one of the best writers I've worked with
My coworker and close friend Anwin had written a short story called "00:01: What a Time to be Alive" and had a vision to manifest it in the form of a comicbook. That's where I stepped in and we worked together over the span of two years to bring it to the light. We're currently looking for a publisher.
How I was a founding member of a Food Tech Startup that changed my work philosophy for the better.
“The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the people you consistently spend your time with.”
In the end of 2022, I was seeking out a new challenge of finding a tribe of risk takers and hungry innovators. That's when I had reached out to Neelesh Nayan who was the founder of Foodlabs, a food tech startup started in 2020. Their product vision was to use AI and robotics to automate cooking without human intervention.
We were working on two prime products: 1. FoodlGo - A machine programmed to tailoring smoothies based on any person's macro data. 2. AI Kitchen - A mark ii version FoodlGo but this time it meal preps specifically to a person's macro data. Our prime objective at the time was to introduce this at small cloud kitchens with subscribed customers at gyms as a way to streamline their workflow so as to predict what their customers would want to eat on a specific of time of day.
I had joined as a founding member along with 13 extremely talented people who've previously worked for Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, Apple etc. I was tasked to own the entirety of the branding and design of Foodlabs end-to-end. This would include the website design, logo design, explainer videos, illustrations and marketing collateral. This was the most challenging endeavour I've ever taken up since we were bootstrapped, I had to set up design guides and processes, take design calls and execute them efficiently while convincing my founder and the team why a certain design decision was right or wrong for the Startup. This is where I learnt the true meaning of ownership since the people that you truly enjoy working with and care about rely on you to deliver, to keep the show going. None of us were in it for the money because we weren't making any. It was only for the passion and their sheer emotional tenacity to place faith in each other and in me to manifest a long term vision. Our motto was pretty simple, "Just get it done".
While our product couldn't take off even after a tenacious two years of relentless late nighters and we had to reluctantly call it quits in 2024, the learning experiences of problem solving under high pressure with some of the best people in the industry was so impactful that it influences how I approach work even to this day.
